EXPOSITION DAIMYO, Seigneurs de la guerre au Japon
Musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet, 2018
This exhibition presents all the essential attributes of the art and culture of the Daimyos, highlighting armors, masks, helmets and all the other signs of the power of these warriors.
The exhibition takes place in two spaces: the Heidelbach Hotel and the rotunda of Guimet Museum. The use of the colour red, symbol of power at the time, brings a sense of unity throughought the entire exhibition.
The red gradation on the walls, presented in a punctual way during the whole exhibition, represents the Japanese landscapes and unites, in a way, the backgrounds to present the works in the best possible way. In the rotunda, the integration of a red gradation on a fabric with backlighting, allows to create a very spectacular space consisted of shadows and lights.
